Question 1

Why does the ATS reject strong talent?

Accepted Answer

The ATS is a keyword scanner drowning in noise. Bad AI tools churn out thousands of resumes packed with fluff and false claims. The filter reads a resume and misses the signal. PIIK starts by measuring: we score your resume against the specific job description — the same keyword overlap the scanner sees — name every term that is missing, and rewrite your verified contributions to carry them until the score clears the bar. Nothing invented; every term is backed by work you actually did.

Question 2

I'm tech talent. How is PIIK different from resume optimizers and job boards?

Accepted Answer

Resume optimizers help you word your claims better. Job boards help you find more listings. PIIK starts from your actual work — GitHub, deployments, incidents — and turns it into structured proof: interview stories, readiness gaps, and negotiation leverage. It's built for engineers who already have real production experience and want to be seen — and paid — at that level.

Question 3

What is the V-Index?

Accepted Answer

The V-Index (Velocity Index) is your verified score derived from your GitHub activity — commit patterns, project impact, and consistency over time. Think of it as a credit score for technical ability — objective, measurable, and hard to fake.

Question 4

Why GitHub specifically?

Accepted Answer

GitHub is structured data — time-stamped, versioned, and public. Unlike a resume — which is self-reported and unverifiable — your commit history is a factual record of what you built and when. It is the Moneyball approach: we measure what you did, not what you say you did.

Question 5

Do I need an active GitHub account?

Accepted Answer

You need a GitHub account with verifiable work — public or private. The key is having a trackable record of what you built and when. The deeper the history, the stronger your V-Index.

Question 6

How is this different from a resume optimizer?

Accepted Answer

Resume optimizers game the keyword filter blindly — stuffing terms and hoping. PIIK optimizes against a measurement: your materials are scored against each specific opportunity first, so you see exactly which terms the screen expects and which are missing. Then we rewrite your real contributions to carry them — anchored to what you actually shipped (V-Index, proof fit, constraint fit) and never fabricated. You watch the match score move before you ever apply.

Question 7

What if I am between roles right now?

Accepted Answer

That is exactly who this is built for. If you have proven work on GitHub but no current role, your record does not expire. Your V-Index reflects your body of work, not your employment status. PIIK makes sure the gap does not erase your value.

Question 8

Is my data secure?

Accepted Answer

PIIK uses GitHub access solely to read repository data — we never push, edit, or delete anything in your repositories. All analysis is performed through secure API connections, and your V-Index is only shared with your explicit authorization. You control who sees your score.

Question 9

Can I pay with cryptocurrency?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We accept crypto payments in USDC (on Base, Solana, Ethereum), ETH, and BTC. Three ways to pay: (1) Browser wallet connect — MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Phantom, etc. (2) Pay from any wallet or exchange — QR codes, deep links, or copy/paste address. Works with Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, Gemini, Crypto.com, Robinhood, and any exchange. (3) Don't have crypto? Buy with card — Onramper converts fiat to crypto and sends it directly to PIIK.

Question 10

Can I pay from my exchange account (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, etc.)?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Choose 'Pay from Any Wallet or Exchange' at checkout. You'll get a QR code and a wallet address to copy. Just paste the address and amount into your exchange withdrawal. Works with every exchange — Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, Gemini, Crypto.com, Robinhood, and more.

Question 11

I don't have any crypto. Can I still pay?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Choose 'Don't have crypto? Buy with card' at checkout. Onramper lets you buy crypto with a credit card, bank transfer, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. The crypto goes directly to PIIK's wallet.

Question 12

Which network should I pay with?

Accepted Answer

Base is the cheapest option (~$0.01 gas) and supports both USDC and ETH. Solana is also very low cost (~$0.001) for USDC. Ethereum has the highest gas fees (~$5-20) but the most liquidity. Bitcoin is supported for BTC payments.

Question 13

How do payments work?

Accepted Answer

Funds go directly from your wallet to PIIK's wallet. After paying, click 'I've paid' and we'll verify the payment and activate your subscription. The only exception is if you use a fiat on-ramp (Onramper, etc.), which may require identity verification on their end to comply with financial regulations.
